"Every new born baby is in pledge for his Aqiqah, Sacrifice is made for him on the seventh day, his head is shaved and he is given name".

What is Aqeeqa?
Aqeeqa is the name given to the sheep that is slaughtered to celebrate the birth of a baby. Aqeeqa is a sunnah that has been recommended by the Prophet Muhammad PBUH. He reported that every newborn baby should have an Aqeeqa slaughtered for it, the baby's hair should be shaved and a name assigned to it. All this should occur seven days after the birth, although it can also be performed after that time.
The Aqeeqa as reported by our Prophet PBUH is two sheep for a male baby and one for a female when the baby is seven days old and it can be after that time.
How HAI help in regard to your Aqeeqa?
When you donate money for your baby's Aqeeqa, HAI can send the money to one of the needy countries and have it slaughtered there. The price of an Aqeeqa depends on the country. At present, for example, it costs AU$80 for a sheep to be slaughtered in Bangladesh.
