Haiti Earthquake Relief

Last Tuesday, Haiti, the third largest country in the Caribbean behind Cuba and Dominican Republic, was hit by a 7.0 magnitude Earthquake in the capital Port-au-Prince and surrounding areas. Several buildings collapsed, burying thousands of people under the rubble. The official death toll is now 217,000.

Thousands of people have gone missing. At least 1.2 million people have been made homeless and/or injured. These survivors have nowhere to go and are in the streets waiting for aid and treatment.

Although many international agencies have rushed to support and aid the victims, there is still a big shortage in food, medicine and basic necessities.
Human Appeal International Australia is seeking your urgent assistance to help provide basic provisions, food, and clean drinking water to these helpless victims.
