Human Appeal International will host its 5th annual Year 12 Muslim
Achievement Awards. These awards are to recognize and reward the
students that have achieved an ENTER of 90% and above (in Victoria). We acknowledge
that this result is an accumulation of 13 years of hard work and
dedication.

Human Appeal would like to thank all the attendees of the Sounds of Light concerts in Sydney and Melbourne who participated in the prize drawings for an iPad 2 and submitted feedback forms to help us improve Sounds of Light for the future.

Sounds of Light 2011-A Great Success

The Sounds of Light concerts has once again come to Sydney and Melbourne on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th December 2011, and provided a great night of world class entertainment from Gulf Echo, Irfan Makki, Meshari Al-Aradah, Maher Zain and local talents including The Brothahood. The stars of the night, the orphans from Gaza showed the audience that there is hope for orphans, and that we have a responsibilty to take care of them.

The people in East Africa are in the midst of a humanitarian crisis with devastating droughts affecting over 11 Million people. The lack of rain has lead to the worst drought in 60 years. Currently many areas are experiencing a state of famine. The drought has lead to entire areas being wiped out of cattle and crops. This means that people are in desperate need for supplies of food, water and healthcare.

With nothing more than the possessions they could carry, these people, whom were once living in safety are now refugees, and are desperately in need basic necessities such as food, water and medical supplies.

The unstable situation in Libya is causing widespread unrest and having deadly consequences amongst its citizens. With a reported death toll of 2000 across the country and over 3000 injured.
Libyan people are facing a humanitarian crisis, where they are suffering from a shortage of medical and food supplies.
Human Appeal International Australia, as part of it's work in Humanitarian Aid relief, is running a campaign to help alleviate the hardships facing the people of Libya and we appeal to you to support them in their time of need.
