Human Appeal International successfully organised the "Sounds of Light 2010" concert for the fourth year

Human Appeal International Australia has successfully hosted for the fourth consecutive year the Sounds of Light Concert 2010 in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Over 5000 people attended and 960 orphans were sponsored during the fundraising event.
A variety of prominent Islamic Nasheed artists from around the world performed during the concert including Mutasem Bllah Alasali from Syria, Mohammed Al-Azzawi from Iraq, Maher El Zein from Lebanon, Gulf Echo from Saudi Arabia, Raihan Band from Malaysia and Ahmad Abugazala from Australia. Haiti Earthquake Appeal

Last Tuesday, Haiti, the third largest country in the Caribbean, was hit by a 7.0 magnitude Earthquake in the capital Port-au-Prince and surrounding areas. Thousands of people are dead, and up to one and a half million people have been affected. Please assist these helpless victims with your generosity.

Indonesian Earthquake Emergency Relief

With at least 1100 people confirmed dead, and more than 300 seriously injured, the 7.6-magnitude earthquake has devastated the inhabitants of Padang in Indonesia. This figure is sure to rise and we must act quickly to help all those affected.
Human Appeal International Australia has partners already on the ground and has allocated $50,000 to aid these victims.

Sounds of Light concert is one of the finest campaigns in charity work in Australia offering children around the world a new hope, a new light. Over the past two years, Sounds of Light attracted well over 8,000 attendees in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane resulting in the sponsorship of more than 1800 orphans. This year Sounds of Light 2009 will focus on the disadvantaged children, and all proceeds will go towards education, food and healthcare programs.

Human Appeal International Australia, once again, is hosting its annual ‘Year 12 Muslim Achievement Awards’ in Victoria towards the end of March 2009.
These awards aim to honour all Victorian Year 12 Muslim students who have attained a VCE entry score of 90% and above. We are currently collecting the names of these students and are pleased to announce that we may have over 50 high achievers.

Victorian Bushfire Relief Campaign

Human Appeal International Australia has launched, in conjunction with
the Islamic Council of Victoria (ICV), an urgent “Victoria Bushfires
Relief Campaign” and pledged an initial donation of $20,000 to help the
affected individuals and communities in Victoria.
This catastrophe, which intensified over the weekend, has claimed the
lives of 130 residents, left at least 750 homes destroyed, burnt out
more than 330 000 hectares and entire towns have been wiped off the
map. This devastating tragedy has been recorded as the deadliest
natural disaster in Australian history, and the death toll is expected
to rise.
