This DVD fetures the second successful year of the Sounds of light concert. The concert was filmed at the spectacular Acer Arena in Sydney's Olympic Park. A similar concert was hosted in Melbourne's iconic Vodafone Area, and for the first time this year, HAI launched its concert in Brisbane at the fabulous Queensland Performing Arts Centre.
With its second year of success, the 2008 'Sounds of Light' Concert launches with the vibrant and contempory performance of Al-Yarmouk Band quartet, followed by the local talent of the Brothahood rap group from the city of Melbourne. South African lead singer Zain Bhikha and backup group Avanti perform their well known educational songs of peace, life and faith. They then hand the stage over to Abu Ratib, who captivates the audience by portraying Islam's tolerant message of harmony.
Osama Alsati joins 'Sounds of Light' from the UAE and illuminates the arena with his magnificent voice and poetry. The renowned US rap ensemble, Native Deen, wrap up the night by motivating the youth with their unique lyrics and rhythm.
this spectacular concert in Sydney, Melbourne, and for the first time, Brisbane gatherd crowds of up to 8000 people nationwide, simultaneously amassing to 900 orphan sponsorship pledges. Each donation has helped to alleviate some of the hardships face by many orphan children around the world.
