Ramadan Iftar held by Kingsgrove North High School

On Thursday the 23rd of May, Human Appeal Australia proudly sponsored the third Ramadan Iftar held by Kingsgrove North High School.

As a part of the dinner programmes which were mostly MCd by student leaders, the events included talks by school principals or their representatives and local government and community officials who spoke of the need to celebrate and share experiences together. Sheikh Wesam Charkawi highlighted the importance of the Iftar Dinners and virtues of the Ramadan.

Students and staff from Kingsgrove North High School raised $450 to go towards a charity program run by Human Appeal Australia and donated in a cheque presentation on the stage.

The event was a great success with hundreds of students, parents and teachers from different faiths in attendance.
