Philippines Emergency Appeal

A powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake violently struck the southern Philippines yesterday, specifically in Mindanao – the Philippines’ second largest island.

As of now, at least 35 people have died, more than 130 injured and at least 12 are still missing.

The earthquake triggered widespread infrastructural damage, landslides and tsunami warnings – prompting the evacuation and displacement of thousands. Much of the region is facing major disruptions, with homes, schools and hospitals severely impacted by the natural disaster.

Many families and children are still suffering the consequences as we speak – and it is our duty to show up for them.

Our emergency humanitarian response is already underway and your support is vital to making this process as quick and effective as possible.

Help us provide their critical needs and bring urgent relief to those who need it most.
