Digital Media / Video Producer

The Company

Human Appeal Australia (HAA) is a purpose-driven not-for-profit (NFP) organisation that aims to strengthen humanity’s fight against poverty and social injustice through the provision of immediate relief and establishment of self-sustaining development programs.

Human Appeal Australia has an opening for a Digital Media/Video Producer to join their Media team. We are based in the Western suburbs of Sydney, within a 2-minute walk from public transport.

The Role

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Design and produce high-quality digital media content for campaigns and fundraising events
  • Take lead in the production of all video content, including planning, filming, editing and post-production
  • Coordinate and manage the creation and publication of all digital content (such as website, blogs, press releases, podcasts, infographics, videos, etc.) for distribution across all digital and social platforms, applying editorial judgment to headlines, metadata, thumbnails, and categorization
  • Plan, script, present, edit, film and publish material for brand presence
  • Record and edit video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files
  • Creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/sfx, media management and archiving project media
  • Maintain and manage all social media channels
  • Ensure Human Appeal brand consistency across all fundraising and marketing campaigns
  • Regularly track, suggest and implement direct marketing best-practices and new strategies
  • Develop and monitor ROI and KPIs
  • Stay up-to-date with digital media technologies and latest trends
  • Participate in a regular team meetings and campaign briefings
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers and the general public
  • Follow safe and healthy work practices at all times, including reporting of hazards and incidents immediately, and referring WHS issues and requirements to head office manager
  • Other Adhoc duties as per the request of the Managing Director and the management team in the interest of the organisation’s objectives.

 

About You

You are a self-starter, ready to achieve and are just as comfortable working independently or as part of a team. Your time management skills are extraordinary, and you have an exceptional eye for detail which is critical.

Your Skills & Experience

To be suitable for this role you will have experience with:

  • Excellent communication skills in English and at least one other language
  • Preferably, able to read, write and speak Arabic to a moderate level
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as Digital Media Specialist or Digital Marketing Manager or similar role
  • Good knowledge of Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Audacity or other media editing software
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with visual communication methods
  • Good knowledge of web design
  • Experience with content management
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the organisation’s success
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • BSc degree in Marketing, Digital media or relevant field
  • Additional qualification in web design or animation is a plus
  • Must hold, or be prepared to undertake a National Police Certificate prior to commencement.
