The besieged city of Gaza was once again under continuous violent airstrikes, the worst since 2014.

The death toll of the Palestinians has risen to 253 people, 66 being children and more were women during the 11 days of constant bombing on the strip.
Almost 1900 people have been injured. A quarter of a million of the people living in the strip do not have access to water. At least 230 apartments buildings were brought down to rubble resulting in the complete destruction of 1800 residential units whilst another 14,300 housing units were partially destroyed & are now unfit for housing. All resulting in 90,000 being displaced, currently seeking refuge in schools.

Service facilities were being targeted, such as the water desalination facility to the north of Gaza which has been put out of service. Some 74 public facilities & buildings were also destroyed. Electricity was also forcibly cut off the strip. The situation on the ground, especially in hospitals is tragic, adding to the burden of dealing with injuries whilst also tackling COVI-19 cases.

The infrastructure of the city is being targeted. All roads leading to Al-Shifa hospital have been bombarded, making it difficult for paramedics to reach the injured or bring them back to the hospital safely.

This comes after a series of attacks on the Al-Aqsa mosque where at least 13 Palestinians have been killed and more than 700 injured.

With the rebuilding process just beginning, Human Appeal’s team in Gaza have already mobilized a team of paramedics to assist with retrieving & receiving the injured patients at local hospitals. We’re currently also helping clear the rubble from the streets to allow ambulances to get through & for families to have access to their homes as well as distributing food parcels, hot meals, baby milk powder, hygiene kits & beddings to the families in need.
