During a visit to Bosnia & Herzegovina this month, Human Appeal Australia (HAA) Director Bashar Al-Jamal met with the Grand Mufti, His Eminence Husein Kavazović to discuss partnership and future projects.
Director Mr. Al-Jamal took the opportunity to thank His Eminence on the strategic collaboration in implementing this year’s Qurban campaign to feed Bosnians in need. Following this year’s campaign efforts, HAA has procured and allocated quality Qurban meat to Bosnia & Herzegovina as part of an annual distribution dedicated to feeding disadvantaged communities all over the world.
In recognition of this partnership, Mr. Al-Jamal on behalf of HAA reaffirmed his dedication to supporting numerous programs dedicated to aiding citizens of Bosnia. These programs include a funding of 100K euros assigned by HAA to help facilitate projects benefitting the elderly demographic and supporting their livelihood.
In commemoration of the Srebrenica Massacre of Bosnia Muslims which took place in July of 1995, HAA will also work to initiate special sponsorship programs aimed to assist and provide for widows whose husbands were tragically killed during the war.
The Bosnian community have enunciated their commitment to partaking in HAA’s global humanitarian efforts, particularly the current ongoing emergency aid campaigns focused on providing essential humanitarian relief to displaced families in the war-torn Gaza enclave.
