Bring Hope and Nourishment This Eid — Donate Your Qurban

The blessed month of Dhul-Hijjah, especially its first ten sacred nights, is a time when worship, sacrifice, and good deeds are multiplied beyond measure.
Allah (SWT) Himself swears by these days:
“By the dawn; by the ten nights” (Al-Fajr 89:1–2).
It is during this sacred season that we commemorate the ultimate act of obedience by Prophet Ibrahim (AS), who was prepared to sacrifice his beloved son in submission to Allah’s command — an act that was honoured with a ram sent from the heavens.
Eid al-Adha invites every Muslim to revive this profound legacy by offering a Qurban. More than a ritual, Qurban is a sacred opportunity to share the blessings we have been entrusted with, especially with those facing hunger, hardship, and displacement.
Today, across the globe, millions are grappling with severe food insecurity, famine, and the devastating effects of conflict. For them, the meat from your Qurban is not simply a meal — it is a lifeline. It is dignity restored. It is hope renewed.
For over 30 years, Human Appeal Australia has been privileged to deliver your Qurban to the most vulnerable families across 33 destinations, ensuring your sacrifice reaches those who need it most — with care, compassion, and integrity.
This year, we will once again be delivering your Qurban to some of the most difficult and desperate locations, including Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, and many more, ensuring that our brothers and sisters in need receive vital support during their time of hardship.
As we launch our Qurban Campaign this year, we invite you once again to make a difference.
Your donation can place food on the table of a widow, an orphan, or a refugee this Eid. Through your Qurban, they will feel remembered, valued, and cared for.
Your Qurban is more than an obligation — it is a gift of mercy, a beacon of hope, and a reflection of our shared humanity.
Donate your Qurban today — and make this Eid a celebration of compassion.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I have to do Qurban?
Qurban is a confirmed Sunnah and deemed obligatory upon all Muslims who are eligible. It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said; “Whoever can afford it, but does not offer a sacrifice, let him not come near our prayer place” (Ibn Majah).
Do I have to sacrifice the Qurban myself?
No. You may delegate it to an individual or organisation to sacrifice your Qurban on your behalf.
How many Qurban should I do?
Each household must commit at least ONE Qurban, preferably on Eid al-Adha as mentioned in the hadith that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “The greatest of days before Allah is the Day of Sacrifice” (Sahih Abu Dawud). The head of a family may offer the sacrifice on behalf of other members in the house.
Can I do more than one Qurban?
Yes. Despite one Qurban being sufficient to fulfil this obligation, there is no limit to how many should be sacrificed.
When must I pay my Qurban?
Although it is best to do so as soon as possible, Qurban must be fulfilled by the last day of Eid al-Adha. Human Appeal Australia processes Qurban donations for the entire 4 days of Eid, allowing you the chance to fulfil it on time.
Which animals can be considered Qurban?
Qurban animals are usually sheep, goats, cows or camels.
Can I send my Qurban to someone I know?
Yes. HAA provides this service in two countries: Lebanon and Jordan. You will need to contact the Human Appeal office to provide the beneficiary’s details such as name, number, city & suburb.
Is the Qurban sacrificed fresh on-site or in a different country?
Where it is viable, livestock is purchased and sacrificed in the destination country. This allows the poor and needy to enjoy fresh, local meat on the days of Eid Al-Adha. Alternatively, livestock are sacrificed in Australia and other countries before being sent and distributed either canned or hard-frozen depending on circumstances of the region.
What is Canned Qurban?
Canned Qurban is pre-cooked meat, prepared and ready for immediate consumption. It has a long shelf life which is a strategic option for regions where resources are limited and there are no refrigeration facilities, such as refugee camps. This allows us to reach as many people as possible for them to enjoy your Qurban sacrifice.
What is Hard Frozen Qurban?
Hard Frozen Qurbans are cut into 6 pieces and individually wrapped. Each Qurban is shipped in a separate carton to its intended destination via refrigerated containers.
