Afghanistan earthquake emergency appeal

According to the United Nations Development Programme, by 2022, 97% of Afghans could fall under the poverty threshold, which would plunge the country into a major humanitarian crisis. In addition to the instability and long standing conflicts, natural disasters have exacerbated the problem there.

Afghanistan Earthquake Appeal 2022

A recent  5.9 magnitude earthquake struck the South-eastern Region of Afghanistan in June 2022, devastating Paktikan and Khost provinces. A total of 1,036 deaths and 2,949 injuries have been reported.

Large number of Afghani houses are affected, many totally destroyed and others deemed unlivable.The risk of communicable diseases, such as acute diarrhea (AWD)/cholera, and malaria have increased due to the poor and fragile living conditions in the affected communities.

What we have done so far

 Our team in Afghanistan distributed beddings, food parcels, clothing and essentials. Mobile Clinics to provide treatment and medications. In addition to help restoring damaged houses.
