Gaza Emergency appeal

After a short pause and a quick breath of relief, the situation in Gaza has once again plummeted to a level even worse than it was before. Within just 24 hours, the Health Ministry in Gaza has confirmed the deaths of well over 410 civilians including 130 children, according to UNICEF. Over 560 are reported injured with figures expected to rise even more as patients begin flooding the barely operating medical facilities.

The entire enclave was subject to a number of overnight airstrikes from Jabalia in the North all the way down to Rafah – destroying whatever was left standing after the previous 15 month long war. On the ground testimonies are now reporting that the already scarce resources have been completely wiped as hospitals, shelters and residential areas run out of fuel and other necessities for survival.

The damage is unlike anything we have seen before and it is deteriorating more as we speak.

You helped us before in our fight against this devastating catastrophe – now we need you more than ever. As the people in Gaza have had the joy of the blessed month of Ramadan forcefully ripped from them, it is our responsibility to be the hope they need to survive.

We have been on the ground in Gaza since the very beginning working non-stop to minimise the unimaginable grief and suffering inflicted onto a population of over 2 million people.

Our Gaza Emergency campaign has provided paramedics, medical supplies and hygiene packs to the largest hospitals in the region. Our renovation of Al-Helou Hospital last year was especially critical in lifting the pressure off the already diminishing healthcare system.

Thousands of food parcels, hot meals, bread portions, baby milk tins, vegetable hampers and over 45 million litres of clean, desalinated water were distributed to displaced families by our team in Gaza.

Help us urgently mobilise and deliver more critical aid including food, water, medical supplies, fuel and shelter to those who have been deprived of the bare minimum for almost 18 months now.
