Over the weekend, the community was saddened by the news of the passing of one of its amazing community members, Hajj Husnija Ćatić.
Hajj Husnija was an exceptional Australian Muslim of Bosnian descent who was known by the entire community in Adelaide to have the brightest smile & the purest of hearts.
He was very well known for having his heart attached to the masjid and never missed his Salat in Jammat at either the Marion masjid or Bosnian masjid. He would always have his spot in the front row on the right side and in his earlier years, he was also given keys to the Marion masjid to open as he was so regular.
Husnija was also known for always being there to help anyone that needed it and always attended and engaged in all community events in Adelaide and was loved by the community.
He truly was an amazing man and has touched so many hearts.
As such, the community have come together to collect funds and donate on behalf of Hajj Husnija and the money will go towards all Sadaqa Jariyah projects so our beloved Hajji will continue receiving the rewards. Money collected will go towards:
- Masjid
- School
- Water Well
Our beloved Prophet (PBUH) said: “When a person dies, all his good deeds come to an end except three; an ongoing charity (Sadaqa Jariyah), a beneficial knowledge and a righteous child who prays for him.”
