On Sunday, 15 October 2017 a group of Human Appeal Australia team left Sydney to Canberra the Capital city of Australia for a noble goal to continue our mission in standing with Rohingya refugees
An open fundraising day has been organised by the local Muslim community in Canberra. It was a day of hope for Rohingya that involved great speakers and different activities for families including BBQ, fundraising auctions, food stalls and kids activities.

Around 250 people attended this family fundraising open day including prominent people in the community. Among the guest who attended Senator Nick Mckim, Australian Greens Party; Imam Akram Buksh, State Manager Queensland, Imam of Slacks Creek Musjid. Both of them gave a speech about human rights situation facing the Rohingya people and the importance of immediate help.
We would like to thank all the families, volunteers and participants who made this day a success and special thanks for Brother Emad Soliman for his great efforts in organising the event, as we were able to fundraise $25,112 that will absolutely help in making a difference for many Rohingya refugees.
