A Student’s Cup of Coffee

We know that desire to make a difference, the challenges of university life, and of course the tight budgets many students live on. Yet, charity remains an essential part of every Muslim’s life—even for the hardworking (and broke) university student.

And you want know something else we know about student life? How much some of you need coffee.

So, here’s our proposal: Donate the equivalent of a single cup of coffee each month. Just one cup, once a month. With this small, consistent gesture, you’ll support 12 different initiatives every year. You might wonder, “Can my $5 really make a difference?” Trust us, it can. And as more students join us year after year, this pool of ‘coffee’ will only grow.

Whether it’s a significant sacrifice or a minor one, your contribution will have a profound impact on the ummah. Imagine: your coffee could save a life.

Commit to this cause, not just for the moment, but as a lifelong endeavour. After all, the Prophet PBUH said,

“Take up good deeds only as much as you are able, for the best deeds are those done regularly even if they are few.”

So come join us and develop this lifelong habit, that with each passing month, you’ll receive another advocator to testify on your favour on yawm-ul Qiyamah.

OCTOBER APPEAL
This month our pledge total will go towards the emergency crisis in Morocco and Libya. Our brothers and sisters in North Africa are facing disasters unseen like ever before. We will specifically be fundraising for community kitchens in the two countries.

This is a unique appeal whereby the communities who have lost their homes and have no means of the comfort of home cooked meals will be given the opportunity to do so with the food distribution aid they receive.

Your coffee will go a long way, bringing smiles to families all over disaster ridden areas. We hope that with these facilities; families, children and entire communities can bond over the comfort of warm cooked meals and gives way to insha’Allah a form of renewal.
