Combatting Social Isolation for Seniors during COVID-19

Human Appeal Australia is proudly launching the HOPE Essentials Drive, the project is aiming to provide essentials packs including food items and hygiene kits to our seniors during the lockdown and tough times due to COVID-19 outbreak. In addition to providing them with social phone calls and regular check-ups to make sure they are being taken care of considering the current social distancing advice.

We are reaching out to our community to help us helping our seniors get through the pandemic. Many of whom are home bound and have no one to care for their needs, we are here for them.

With your generous support HOPE Essentials Drive is projected to be available throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to the end of 2021.

 

Target:

Reaching out to 1000 seniors in the community. Providing them with:

  • Food Parcel at cost of $70
  • Social Calls and Check ups

Seniors are one of the most vulnerable parts of our community. They need not only tangibles to supported they also need

  • State Emergency Services Bankstown Unit.
  • SES Canterbury Unit.

In 2020 Human Appeal Australia Launched its HOPE Campaign Helping Older People Engage to provide social support and aid those community seniors who are isolated or on the edge of isolation to COVID-19. We reached out to 409 helping them staying in touch with social phone calls and in addition to distributing parcels and hygiene kits.

Our New HOPE Campaign

We are aiming to provide 1000 seniors and needy families with food parcels and hygiene kits to help them stay safe during the second wave of COVID-19 and recent lock down.

We are reaching out to our community to help us helping our seniors get through the pandemic. Many of whom are home bound and have no one to care for their needs, we are here for them.
